What you’ll do

As the Legal Counsel at Vandebron, you'll be the legal cornerstone, navigating through the ever-changing energy market. Your mission: research, identify risks, and uncover opportunities within shifting legislation. You'll be the go-to person for all legal matters, from labor law to commercial contracts.

Dive into innovation projects like curtailment and battery storage, be the voice at the intersection of legal acumen and business strategy, and advise directly to the board in our flat organization. You'll play a pivotal role in setting up new partnerships and writing agreements that shape the future.

How you’ll do it

• Independently handle diverse legal matters.

• Provide pragmatic legal advice to all departments, balancing business priorities and legal risks.

• Act as the point of contact for all legal questions within the organization.

• Monitor and interpret legislation in the (European) energy market.

• Negotiate, review, and/or draft contracts.

• Directly advise the Vandebron board on legal strategy.

Who you’ll work with

You'll be a spider in the web, collaborating with every department and being involved in every project. Work closely with the Compliance Officer and the Privacy Counsel. Engage directly with the board. Collaborate on projects with grid operators and battery system operators. Connect with teams across Energy Services, Marketing, Electric Mobility, People & Culture, Customer Contact, and more.

Who you are

• Minimum of five years of relevant legal experience, either as a lawyer or in-house counsel.

• Thrives in a dynamic environment, balancing business priorities and legal risks.

• Independent, assertive, and strong communication skills.

• Proficient in both Dutch and English.
